I would love to go on some dark crusades and dedicate my purges of the galaxy to something more productive than forced labour. If you defeat the Reckoning as a psionic you can enslave it.Īs a primarily Spiritualist player I would be more than happy to see an entire DLC focused on the Shroud and it's Covenants, but I think these suggestions are possible using everything we currently have in game with a few tweaks to colour/lighting(we already have a few different coloured shroud entities), some lines of dialogue, and dependent on the possibility of adding a Colossus weapon to a Juggernaut. It will get easier to break free as they are weakened but the longer you wait the more damage the Reckoning can inflict. This will let you fight back for some of your former empire and bring them back into the fold before they are permanently destroyed. Make the Reckoning a real threat, affected by the crisis slider and give it juggernaut capabilities to pump out shroud ships and Colossus fire planets into Shrouded worlds. T6 sensors can only be added to ships and citadels, not outposts. Reckoning and each Anchor spawns shroud ships, invisible without new T6(psi/enigmatic) sensors. As the Reckoning conquers more space it shrouds worlds and adds to its territory, divided into sectors with one Anchor each. Homeworld is now under the Reckoning's control with an Anchor style starbase(wormhole visual imo). ![]() Your former empire(minus homeworld and Exile) is now your overlord. Spawn the Reckoning over your homeworld and shroud it as usual. I'd like to see the complete destruction of your empire as something more gradual. Entity adds a nebula to its system.Įmpire effect: 15% research, 15% influence, -5% unity, -5% happiness(general sense of unease).Įnd of the Cycle is good, but it could be better. Aura for friendly evasion and lowered enemy tracking. Random affects occur on shrouded worlds: pops duplicated, pops disappear, structures built or upgraded or downgraded random temporary buffs or maluses to growth, production, or upkeep. Shrouded worlds are still interactable, with no migration on or off. When orbiting these worlds grants a double Assist Research bonus. Planet is effectively shielded and Shrouded world effect is maintained until the Colossus is destroyed. Every month these leaders have a 1% chance of gaining or losing a trait from the Admiral and Governor pools, with no cap on how many they can have.Ĭan Shroud one world each using their Colossus fire. Adds a new trait to leader increasing lifespan by 40 and granting your empire the current buffs from this covenant(1% research, 1% influence per level 1 codebreaking at level 5 and 10). ![]() Leader is an admiral for the Entity and a governor for the planet. I'd just use it for the psychic buff to leaders.ĭid I make some kind of mistake? What's the deal? This seems nowhere near as good as Synthetic or even Biological ascensions? I feel like I did something wrong.Commit suicide as it currently adds to your empire for this leader. I wouldn't even go through the stupid wormhole the beacon opens. So far this shroud stuff seems like utter trash. Oh, and one of the supposedly "good" event chains from the Shroud stuff I bought reduced my planet to a permanent 0 in stability and happiness, and the colony is now revolting, and nothing will fix it because it's in negatives. I thought once I got the dude at the starbase to 100 opinion it'd be like "Congratulations you have shroud powers and the worm and all that now!"īut no, instead I have nothing but a missing 20,000 credits it seems. I've gotten a bunch of quests where you're supposed to somehow "advance the questline" or situation or whatever but there isn't actually any way to do so. I've gotten a bunch of these new weird temporary buff things, most of which I can't even interact with, and that don't do anything. I literally spend 20,000 credits doing that. I talk to them and see these guys have an opinion bar like the other independents so I figure something good happens if you get it to 100. I build the Shroud Beacon thing on a starbase, it opens a wormhole fine, I go through it. So, I chose this new Psionic start in the expansion and my leaders and stuff can be Psionic. Psionics is the one thing I never bothered with in this game. ![]()
